Exercise Physiologists only need to submit an Exercise Physiology Review form (EPR) when it has requested by the TAC or there has been a gap in Exercise Physiology treatment for 12 months or more.

Physiotherapists only need to submit a Treatment Notification Plan when it has requested by the TAC.

As the result of a recent Victorian Government gazette, a driver convicted of an offence under a corresponding law (outside of Victoria) that is the equivalent to culpable driving or dangerous driving causing death, is not eligible for an impairment benefit. This applies for transport accidents that occur on and after 2 March 2017.

Public hospitals no longer need to obtain prior approval from the TAC for Hospital in the Home (HITH), Rehab in the Home (RITH) or Sub Acute Ambulatory Care services (SACS) or Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Services (VPRS).

Private hospitals no longer need to obtain prior approval from the TAC for Hospital in the Home (HIH) admissions.

Pharmacists no longer need to provide the TAC with a copy of the original script when billing for private script medication.

The term 'Capital Services Agreement' is now referred to as a 'Vehicle Modifications Agreement'.

A new policy on opiod medication has been developed.

This is a new policy on the payment of travel and accommodation expenses for immediate family members attending the funeral of a TAC client.  To be eligible for these benefits:

• the date of accident must be on or after 14 December 2016, and
• the person has died as the result of the transport accident, and
• the immediate family member must normally reside more than 100kms from the place where the funeral, burial or cremation is held.

This benefit is capped to the amount of $5,000 per death.

The information on Network OT services has been replaced by Framework OT information.

This is a new policy for Framework Occupational Therapy services.

The purchasable services under Individualised Funding have been expanded to include continence equipment and exercise physiology.

The policy has been updated with information which confirms that the TAC is unable to pay for travel by UberX or any other commercial passenger vehicle which was driven by a person who does not hold the appropriate accreditation with the Victorian Taxi Services Commission (or an Interstate taxi regulator).

However, clients who have used UberX or other ride share services for TAC related travel before 15 July 2016 are encouraged to contact the TAC on 1300 654 329.
