1 charge of fraudulently obtaining benefits and 1 charge of attempting to obtain benefits contrary to s116 of The Transport Accident Act 1986 and 1 charge of supplying false information to the TAC contrary to s117 of The Transport Accident Act 1986.
The magistrate sentenced, convicted and imprisoned the accused for a period of 92 days (3 months) with a period of 92 days reckoned as served. The accused was also sentenced to a 12 month community corrections order with conditions that the accused perform 120 hours of unpaid work in that period.
