Statement on Parliamentary Inquiry into TAC claims processes

Updated 2 June 2026.  First Published 5 March.

The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) has today lodged its submission to the Victorian Parliament’s Inquiry into claims made through the Transport Accident Commission.

As a public institution, the TAC recognises the value of parliamentary oversight and welcomes the opportunity to participate in the Inquiry.

Each year, more than 40,000 Victorians rely on the TAC for support as they recover and regain independence after a transport accident.

Our core purposes will always be reducing road trauma and supporting people injured and impacted by transport accidents, while remaining financially sustainable to care for Victorians long into the future.
