impairment

The TAC will initiate your impairment claim or you can put in a request

The TAC requests your medical information

If your injuries are not likely to be 11% or more your impairment benefit claim is closed

If your injuries are stable and likely to be 11% or more your impairment benefit claim proceeds

If your injuries are not stable your impairment benefit claim is put on hold until your injuries become stable

You attend medical appointments with independent medical examiners to determine each injury's impairment rating

The TAC receives these ratings and an overall impairment score is calculated

You are notified of this score and the lump sum payment benefit to be paid (if 11% or more)

The lump sum is paid and the impairment benefit claim is finalised. You still remain eligible for medical and other support from the TAC.
