Restrictive Practice Providers
Phase one – April 2025
A new Restrictive Practice Policy has been developed by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC).
These new restrictive practice requirements will help protect the safety and human rights of Victorian TAC clients and injured workers with a disability (under Worksafe Victoria (WSV) Community Integration Participation).
Implementation of the new policy will occur in two phases:
Phase one: From 1 April 2025
- It includes 39 disability service providers delivering attendant care that transitioned to the Social Services Regulator on 1 July 2024.
- An evaluation of phase one will be performed by the TAC and Victorian Senior Practitioner (VSP) to inform the implementation approach for phase two.
Phase two: From late 2025
- This will include all TAC and WSV funded disability services registered with the Regulator and is inclusive of all disability service types, not just attendant care.
