The Longitudinal Head Injury Outcomes Study, which started more than 20 years ago, will continue for another two years.
Monash Epworth Rehabilitation Centre Director and clinical neuropyschologist ,Professor Jennie Ponsford, is managing the study which aims to identify difficulties experienced by patients during rehabilitation.
The study involves more than 3,000 patients and is investigating ways to deliver improved interventions and outcomes.
The TAC has also has revised its vision and guiding principles to determine which research its invests in and supports.
The organisation's new vision is: To invest in world leading research that provides evidence-based insights that can be practically applied to meet the TAC's strategic objectives.
