As chiropractors, you play an important role in helping our clients recover from their transport accident injuries.
|We can pay the reasonable costs of your patient’s chiropractic treatment, without prior approval, when it is required as a result of a transport accident injury.|
When requested, you must complete the Allied health treatment and recovery plan and return it to us. We may temporarily cease funding our client’s treatment until the plan is received.
Patient consultations, travel, x-rays, exercise programs and equipment are also covered, with some restrictions.
As part of your patient’s treatment, you can complete certificates of capacity to assess and certify your patient’s capacity for work. For patients with a severe injury, the discussion, referral and approval of services may form part of the independence planning process.
If your patient's accident was prior to 14th February 2018 they may need to meet the medical excess before you can invoice the TAC for treatment.
Here’s how to work with our clients, manage billing and payments and find out what we can and cannot pay for.
