Hand Therapy Services for Physiotherapists

Initial Consultation  HTP100   $134.11

The session duration must represent reasonable and appropriate clinical practice

  • Assessment of a new client or a new episode of care for an existing client
  • Initial management, treatment or advice
  • Expectation setting that treatment will be provided in line with the Clinical Framework for the Delivery of Health Services
  • Goal setting and treatment planning if appropriate at assessment
  • Screening for barriers to recovery
Standard Consultation  HTP200   $100.07

The session duration must represent reasonable and appropriate clinical practice

  • Further assessment as required
  • Management, treatment or advice including:
    • Goal setting and treatment planning
    • Response to previous treatment and self-management strategies
    • Monitoring of progress towards goals and adaptation of treatment when goals are not being met
    • Monitoring barriers to recovery and acting on these when goals are not met
Extended Consultation HTP300   $200.14

Maximum payment rate is per hour, to be billed in 15 minute increments with an expected duration up to 1 hour.

  • For assessment and treatment that cannot be adequately addressed in a standard consultation for a client who has either:
    • Complex injuries, such as significant acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, crush injuries and burns
    • Two or more entirely separate injuries
Travel for consultations HTP400   $200.14
Travel - in association with Initial, Standard or Extended consultations

As approved - maximum payment rate is per hour to be billed in 15 minute increments

Travel will only be considered when the client is medically unfit to travel or where treatment in the clients functional environment is clinically justified
Completion of Allied Health Treatment & Recovery Plan (AHTRP) - Providers registered for GST

Completion and submission of an Allied Health Treatment and Recovery Plan as outlined in the Hand Therapy Policy or when requested by the TAC.
Attendance at a Team Meeting - Providers registered for GST HTP600 * $220.15
Attendance at a Team Meeting - Providers NOT Registered for GST HTP601   $200.14

As approved - maximum payment rate is per hour to be billed in 15 minute increments

  • Meeting attendance at the request of the TAC where the TAC client is present
   
Workplace / Home / Equipment / Other Assessment and Report - Providers registered for GST HTP700 * $220.15
Workplace / Home / Equipment / Other Assessment and Report - Providers NOT Registered for GST HTP701   $200.14

As approved - maximum payment rate is per hour to be billed in 15 minute increments

  • Workplace or Home Assessment or Equipment Prescription and the report that follows at the request of the TAC
   
Travel for attendance at a Team Meeting, assessment and reports - Providers registered for GST HTP800 * $220.15
