Medical reports (non-TAC requested) fees: impairment examinations and reports

The fees below outline the reimbursement rates for Impairment Examinations & Reports that are not requested by the TAC

The TAC is no longer liable to pay for the costs of medico-legal exams performed after 1 July 2014 under Section 60(2F) unless they have been arranged by the TAC or Jointly arranged between the TAC and the client's solicitor. Please refer to the Medical Reports (TAC Arranged) Impairment and Serious Injury fee schedule or the Joint Medical Examinations and Reports fee schedule.

** A supplementary report obtained subsequent to an Impairment examination/report is interpreted as a report sought for the purposes of requesting clarification of additional information not available at the time of the original examination.

**** These fees apply to 4th edition impairment reports requested by the TAC and where the medical practitioner abides by the Conditions Under Which Medical Examinations Are Carried Out On Behalf Of The TAC.

The 'Bonus Fee' payable by the TAC for 4th Edition Impairment reports can be paid only when the TAC receives the report within 14 days of the assessment date.
