Independent medical examination fees (occupational therapists)
Update on new Medical Examination ModelFrom 1 July 2025, the TAC’s new Medical Examination Model will be in place. Under this model, the provision of Independent Medical Examination (IME) services will be supplied by a panel of medico-legal intermediaries. - For IME services booked prior to 1 July 2025, medical examiners should invoice the TAC using the 2024/25 fee schedules below.
- From 1 July 2025, the TAC will book medical examinations via a panel of intermediary suppliers. If you would like to continue providing these services to the TAC, please reach out to the panel of intermediary suppliers to register your interest. These details will be available in July.

Schedule of Medico Legal Fees for Independent Examinations performed by Occupational Therapists
The fees below outline the rates payable for examinations and reports performed by Occupational Therapists when requested by the TAC.

Supplementary Report - Applies where the TAC provides information additional to that initially provided or to answer additional questions not initially asked and the IME has previously examined a TAC client in the past 12 months.
- An IME is not required to conduct a re-examination (or re-contact) the TAC client in order to provide the additional information.
