Annual TAC payment increase goes into effect in July

Starting 1 July, you will see an increase in our approved fee schedules. These outline how much we will pay for each treatment and service to a TAC client. We increase our fee schedules at the start of each financial year.

To access the 2022-23 fee schedule for your profession, view the Fee schedules page on our website.

Our fees will also be updated in LanternPay, our online payment platform for eligible providers.

If your fees are higher than those on our fee schedule, please let the client know there will be an out of pocket expense. Clients can contact us to discuss their options if the out of pocket costs will prohibit treatments or services from going ahead.

TAC web information in 13 languages

Translated information in 13 languages is now available on the TAC website. This will help new TAC clients and those involved in an accident learn about what we do and how to make a claim.

Clients can go to tac.vic.gov.au/languages or click on the ‘Languages’ button at the top-right of the TAC website.

Please direct clients here if they need TAC information in a language other than English.

As always, interpreting services are available for clients who need language help when calling the TAC or at medical and health appointments.

LanternPay is now ‘LanternPay by HICAPS’

If you use LanternPay to invoice the TAC online, you may have noticed ‘LanternPay by HICAPS’ branding and a minor refresh to the platform’s colours and navigation.

This change follows LanternPay’s recent acquisition by HICAPS.

Eligible TAC providers can continue to use LanternPay in the same way to get next-business-day payment for approved invoices.

If you have any questions about this change, please contact LanternPay Support or find out more about LanternPay here.

Club Rewards Program kicks off for 2022

If you’re involved with a local footy or netball club, the TAC Club Rewards Program is an opportunity for it to earn up to $10,000 by promoting road safety in the community.

Former Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkston was at the East Shepparton Football and Netball Club last month to help launch this partnership with AFL Victoria for 2022.

Clarkson said, like many families, his has been touched by road trauma. His older brother, Andrew, was only 24 when he died in a drink-driving accident in 2014.

“We’ve still got a long way to go and part of it is education, part of it is encouraging the youngsters, in particular, to make good choices,” Clarkson said.

Visit the TAC Club Rewards Program webpage to access the criteria and an application form.
