Road to Zero
Road to Zero is an award-winning, state-of-the-art Education Complex at Melbourne Museum.
Developed by the TAC in partnership with Melbourne Museum, Road to Zero offers free curriculum-linked programs for Year 9 and 10 Science and Health & PE, and VCE Vocational Major students.
Led by knowledgeable road safety facilitators, excursions to Road to Zero comprise two parts:
- Experience Space (45 minutes) – An exploratory exhibition of 13 immersive experiences that engage students with critical road safety themes.
- Learning Studio (75 minutes) – In the purpose-built learning hub, students undertake one of two curriculum-linked programs, including creating a public health campaign video, and tackling a virtual reality physics experiment. They then apply their learning to a team-based challenge using touch table technology.
Road Smart Interactive
Developed by the TAC and delivered in partnership with Melbourne Museum, Road Smart Interactive is a highly immersive incursion program aimed at Year 9-11 and VCE VM students.
Facilitated by experienced road safety facilitators, students work through six interactive digital experiences – each exploring a different area of road safety. The program encourages students to think about how they can be part of the solution to making everyone safer on our roads.
Designed by road safety experts and education specialists, the program has the capacity to accommodate multiple year levels over several days.
