Talk the Toll Down

The TAC partnered with regional papers to spread the road safety message by encouraging people to talk the road toll down.

The TAC teamed with the Ballarat Courier and nearly 40 regional newspapers to show their commitment to reducing the regional road toll.

Launched in Ballarat by Victorian Premier Ted Baillieu, newspaper editors travelled from throughout the State to Ballarat to show their commitment to the cause. Bairnsdale, Albury, Yarrawonga, Kerang, Mildura and Warrnambool were all represented.

This grass roots campaign was aimed specifically at regional road users as half the deaths in the previous year, 2010, were on regional roads.
