Written and edited by Dr Keith Hill, Kim Miller, Sonia Denisenko, Tamara Clements, Frances Batchelor. 2001
The Victorian Neurological Special Interest Group of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) produced this resource text in 2001
It is the second edition of a publication originally put together by Dr Keith Hill of the National Aging Research Institute of Victoria.
The manual includes a rationale for measurement of outcomes. Outcomes measures include sitting balance, standing balance, mobility, gait, upper limb function and physical activity. Details of each outcome measure include the test description and procedures, equipment required, normative data and reliability and validity. This updated version contains 30% more measures and a modified format to make the manual even more user friendly for the clinician or student.
It is currently a recommended text for physiotherapy students in neurology at La Trobe University, Melbourne University and Charles Sturt University, and is considered as a text by Auckland University.
