Alcohol and drug worker

Alcohol and drug treatment services contracted by the Commonwealth government or through state governments and provide:

  • assessment of drug and alcohol service need
  • AOD counselling
  • non-residential withdrawal
  • residential withdrawal
  • therapeutic day rehabilitation
  • residential rehabilitation
  • Pharmacotherapy
Allied health assistantsHolder of a Certificate 3 or Certificate 4 in Health (Allied Health Assistant) or the equivalent. See also the TAC Attendant care guidelines policy.
Attendant care agencyRefer to the TAC Schedule 2 Authorised Disability Services
AudiologistEligible for full membership of the Audiological Society of Australia and/or accreditation by the Australian Hearing Service (AHS). See also the TAC's Audiology guidelines
Case managerRefer to the TAC Schedule 2 Authorised Disability Services
Community access plannersRefer to the TAC Schedule 2 Authorised Disability Services
Community group providerRefer to the TAC Schedule 2 Authorised Disability Services
DietitianEligible for accreditation as an 'Accredited Practicing Dietitian' in the state or territory in which the service is provided. See also the TAC Dietitian policy.
Driving instructorDriving Instructors who hold 'Driving Instructor Authority' under the Road Safety Act (1986). See also the TAC Driving instructor guidelines policy.

Education support services provider including:

  • Integration aide/teacher
  • Inclusion support facilitor
  • Tutoring agency

Orientation and mobility instructorEligible for membership of the Orientation and Mobility Specialists' Association of Victoria Inc or of the state or territory in which the service takes place. See also the TAC Orientation and Mobility policy.
OrthoptistEligible for membership of The Orthoptic Association of Australia. See also the Orthoptics policy.
