Institute for Safety, Compensation and Recovery Research (ISCRR) 2009 – 2018

ISCRR is a joint initiative of WorkSafe Victoria, the TAC and Monash University. Founded in 2009, ISCRR facilitates research and best practice in injury prevention, rehabilitation and compensation to improve life and social outcomes of people living with major trauma.

Between 2009 and 2018, ISCRR produced 81 research projects for the TAC to inform strategic decision making, policies and programs. These projects related to ageing, acquired brain injury, assistive technology, bladder and bowel, client experience, community and social participation, compensation, disability, housing, mental health, persistent pain, rehabilitation, return to work, spinal cord injury, trauma and acute care and virtual healthcare.

Victorian Neurotrauma Initiative (VNI) 2005 – 2011

Until May 2011, the TAC funded research projects focused on improving medical treatment and management of traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. Between 2005 and 2011, VNI Produced 62 research projects for the TAC.
