Policy

The TAC can fund the reasonable cost of autopsy services performed by an appropriately trained and registered medical practitioner at the Coroners Court of Victoria on TAC client's killed in transport accidents.

Guidelines

When will the TAC request an autopsy report?

The TAC may request an autopsy report when:

  • the cause of the death is unclear
  • the client dies sometime after the accident.
